With over 16 years of experience in costume design, client care and Carnival production, Solange has established herself as one of the most respected and innovative figures in the global Carnival industry.

As the Creative Director behind some of the most iconic and visually striking presentations on the Carnival stage, Solange brings a distinctive blend of artistry, heritage, and modern flair to every project and concept. Her designs are celebrated both for their bold aesthetics and intricate craftsmanship, as well as for the way her signature aesthetic honours Caribbean identity and storytelling. Her body of work has been featured in major international media publications such as The New York Times, Complex and Essence Magazine, while her online social media platforms have become a conversational hub for communities that are invested both in the world of design and the art of Caribbean storytelling.

Solange has collaborated with leading Carnival bands, corporate partners, and regional stakeholders in multiple markets to produce large-scale presentations that captivate local, regional and international audiences. From London to Port of Spain, Jamaica to Toronto, her influence extends beyond design — she plays a vital role in promoting cultural tourism, empowering young creatives, and preserving the legacy of Trinidad Carnival as a global cultural phenomenon.

Her selection to participate in China Women’s University Seminar on Female Design Talents in Innovation and Transformation of Clothes as Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) in Beijing allowed Solange to champion cross-cultural exchange and capacity-building. Her creative point of view explores the ways in which design, heritage, and innovation can shape the future of leadership and global collaboration.
